One-to-One Coaching
Your next 10kg starts with a better plan.
One-to-one coaching for lifters who want more contact, a medium- to long-term plan, and a coach focused on the things that will genuinely scale their training. Built around you — not a template.

Technique is evidence, not diagnosis.
A missed snatch is a symptom. It tells you something is limiting the lift — not what. Most stalled lifters get more cues, more drills and more of the same programme. I start by finding the real limiter, then build your training around fixing it.
Capacity
Can your body produce and absorb the force the lift demands? Strength, positions, mobility and work capacity.
Skill
Can you express that capacity in the snatch and clean & jerk — under load, consistently, on the day it counts?
Results
Develop Capacity and Skill together and the kilos follow. Measured on the platform, not in cues.
Every decision made for you. Specifically.
Individualised programming
Built around your current capabilities, goals, weaknesses and schedule. Released day by day in TrainHeroic and adapted to what I see and what you feel.
Training video reviews
Your top sets reviewed in OnForm with voice-over feedback, sent straight to you on WhatsApp. One or two priorities per lift, and they feed straight into your next sessions.
Ongoing coaching support
Direct access to me on WhatsApp, with replies within 24 hours on weekdays, so you make better training decisions between sessions.
Monthly progress review
A formal assessment of where you are, what's changed and what the next block is built to target.

One coach. One plan. Yours.
Places are limited so every lifter gets proper attention. The initial 12-week period exists because meaningful change takes a full block to show — and one-to-one is built for the medium to long term.

Mike Causer
I've spent more than 30 years in Olympic weightlifting — competing for Team GB and winning over ten national titles. Today I coach lifters remotely through Causer Strength, alongside my work with the IWF Refugee Team.
My coaching is built on one belief: strength is built, not given. Find the real limiter, train it with structure, and stay consistent long enough for it to show up on the platform.

Questions
How is One-to-One different from the Team Programme?
Contact and focus. The Team Programme gives you proven programming to follow with lighter touch points. One-to-One gives you direct access to me, feedback on your lifts, and a plan built around the specific things that will move your training forward over months and years.
Do I need to compete?
No — but you should train like the lifts matter. Most athletes I coach one-to-one are competing or building toward their first meet.
How do I receive my programme?
Through TrainHeroic. Sessions are released day by day so I can adjust them to what I see in your clips and what you tell me.
How are my videos reviewed?
Film your top set of each main lift, from side-on to a 45° angle, and send it on WhatsApp. I review it in OnForm and send voice-over feedback straight back — one or two priorities per lift, never ten.
Do we need a call before I start?
No. Your Athlete Profile gives me everything I need to build your first block, and setup runs through WhatsApp messages and voice notes. If you'd like a call, we'll book one after your first week of training.
How quickly can I start?
Your choice. Your programme goes live within 72 hours of your Athlete Profile — or on a start date you pick.
What equipment do I need?
A barbell, bumper plates and somewhere you can drop the bar. Commercial gyms are fine — your programme is written around what you have.
Is there a minimum commitment?
An initial 12-week coaching period, then rolling monthly.
I have a competition coming up — can you help?
Yes. Competition preparation and meet-day coaching are available as an additional service, quoted in advance.
